Xiaomi Mix Flip: Rumored to Challenge Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with a Lower Price

Xiaomi is reportedly working on its first clamshell foldable phone, the Mix Flip. The phone is expected to be a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series, but with a more affordable price tag.

Several clues indicate that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be launched soon. The phone recently received certification from the China Quality Certification Centre (3C). The certification reveals that the Xiaomi Mix Flip has a model number of 2405CPX3DC and supports 67W wired charging.

Rumors from Chinese social media site Weibo

also suggest that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be priced at around 5,999 Yuan, which is roughly $899. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 was launched in Indonesia at a price of Rp 15,999 (around $1,150).

A photo of a phone

that is believed to be the Xiaomi Mix Flip has also been circulating on Weibo. However, some tipsters have questioned the authenticity of the photo. It is possible that the photo is a mock-up based on the Xiaomi Mix Flip's leaked design.

The photo shows a foldable phone with a gold-colored back with the Xiaomi logo. The cover screen is square and quite large, but the specific size is not yet known.

Above the cover screen

is a rectangular camera module that houses two rear cameras, with an LED flash adorned with the Leica logo at the bottom.

According to previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be equipped with two rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS that uses an OmniVision OV50E sensor and a 60MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom that uses an OV60A sensor. The front-facing camera, which is housed in the main display, has a resolution of 32MP.

Other specifications

that have been revealed include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a main display with a resolution higher than 1080p, and a 4,900mAh battery. In addition, some rumors claim that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to debut alongside the book-style Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. Both phones are expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year, according to tipster Digital Chat Station.

It remains to be seen if the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be able to challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip's dominance in the clamshell foldable phone market. However, the phone's rumored specifications and price tag suggest that it could be a compelling option for consumers looking for a more affordable foldable phone.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
