Microsoft has officially confirmed the release date for its upcoming Windows 11 2024 Update, codenamed 24H2, set to arrive on September 24th as part of the optional preview update. The rollout will expand to a broader audience in October as a part of the mandatory Patch Tuesday updates.
Voice Clarity: Previously exclusive to Surface devices, Voice Clarity is now available to all Windows 11 24H2 users. This AI-powered feature leverages advanced algorithms to improve audio quality by minimizing background noise, eliminating echoes, and enhancing clarity during calls and video conferences.Sudo for Windows: Windows 11 is getting a new feature called "Sudo for Windows," which allows users to execute elevated commands seamlessly. Users must navigate to Settings > For Developers to activate Sudo for Windows and enable the "Enable Sudo" option.Sudo for Windows offers several modes for execution: In a New Window (forceNewWindow): This is the default mode, opening a new elevated console window to execute the specified command.Input Closed (disableInput): This mode allows the elevated process to run within the current window without user input.Inline: This state enables the elevated process and the current window to share input and output streams.
New Microsoft Teams: The update introduces a revamped Microsoft Teams app that offers enhanced performance, faster loading times, and support for multiple accounts. This new, cross-platform Teams app aims to provide users a more streamlined and efficient collaborative experience.
