Ubuntu Snappy Core 16 RC Sudah Dirilis! Versi Raspberry Pi Pun Ada

Pekan ini, om Michael Vogt mengumumkan bahwa Ubuntu Snappy Core 16 Release Candidate sudah resmi dirilis gan. Images untuk versi PC 32 bit, 64 bit, dan Raspberry Pi pun sudah siap diunduh.

Bagi yang belum tahu, Ubuntu Snappy Core adalah salah satu versi ringkas (slimmed-down) dari Ubuntu, dimana sistem operasi Ubuntu diperas hingga sari-sarinya, tersisa beberapa ratus megabyte saja. Pun, model install dan uninstall software didalamnya juga dibedakan. Pakai metode dan paket Snap.

Seperti biasa, untuk mencoba images tersebut silakan burn ke SD Card dan boot ke Raspberry Pi:

[sourcecode] dd if=ubuntu-core-16-pi2.img of=/dev/sdb[/sourcecode]

ingat ya gan, /dev/sdb atau yang lain, pokoknya yang merujuk device SDCard. kalau salah, harddiskmu bisa ke format! haha.

Disadari atau tidak, Windows 10 (dan juga windows-windows lainnya) hadir dengan banyak sekali aplikasi bloatware (aplikasi yang tidak perlu-perlu amat dimiliki oleh end user). Contohnya, adalah aplikasi yang seharusnya sudah tergantikan fungsinya oleh antivirus, seperti Antimalware Service Executable . Aplikasi ini dicurigai membuat Windows 10 mengalami inefisiensi memori/RAM, memakan resource yang tinggi, dengan Load yang tinggi (tanpa limit terkadang). Nah, berikut adalah cara men-disable nya: Tekan tombol Windows + I untuk membuka apliaksi Windows Setting.
