Render of Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is Leaked, Here is The Story So Far

 Tecno is gearing up to launch its foldable phone models, a Flip and a Fold, in the second half of 2024. In anticipation of their release, renders of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 have been leaked to the public.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to be priced lower than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold6. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 have already been certified in several countries.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 has also been registered with the SDPPI (Indonesia) on August 8, 2024. Citing 91Mobiles, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 was briefly listed on the company's pre-order page before removal. The silhouette of the device was captured and used to create these new renders. According to industry sources, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 will be available in black and blue variants.

This book-style foldable phone features three cameras on the back. Renders reveal a punch-hole design on the display and a single camera on the cover screen. In total, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 boasts five cameras.

A USB Type-C port and speaker grill are located at the bottom. Another SIM tray and speaker grill are placed at the top. The renders also confirm that the device will feature Dolby Atmos audio.

Regarding internal specifications, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series chipset with 12 GB of RAM. The inner display of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 will have a resolution of 2,000 x 2,296 pixels, the same as its predecessor.

This premium smartphone will pack a larger battery, measuring 5,610 mAh. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to start at $1,055 or Rp 16.26 million, similar to its predecessor. If these leaks are accurate, it would be significantly cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold6, which retails for Rp 26.5 million.
